The Skills & Talent Development Programme creates opportunities for learners and young people to develop practical abilities alongside their educational development.
Activities are selected according to learners’ interests, abilities and developmental needs and may include creative work, crafts, practical activities, agriculture, digital skills and other appropriate skills-development opportunities.
The programme places emphasis on participation, confidence, creativity, practical experience and the development of abilities that can contribute to greater independence and future opportunities.
Learners are encouraged to identify their strengths and explore activities in which they can participate meaningfully.
